In my last article I described the love and hate division within America. That article also identified those who seek to destroy the very concept of individual sovereignty, nationhood, and especially a nation acknowledging that certain rights come from God. These are the core concepts that divide America. The elitists assert they should rule, absolutely and without interference from those people they consider to be their intellectual and moral inferiors. In their America, the only rights anyone has are those conditionally granted by the elitists.
What do the elitists want? America, as it exists, must be destroyed and remade to fit in the fold of a one world government where the “best and brightest” control everything; natural resources, education, entertainment, speech, health care, production, economics, opinion, family, children and on and on.
Before going any further, a good definition of elitist and elitism are needed. We must be careful not to confuse “elitist” with “elite”. Every endeavor has its elite, recognized by their peers and the public at large as excelling in their particular area of endeavor. That could be business, sports, the military or science. To be recognized as elite does not make a person an elitist. An elitist believes in subjective measures of superiority that are totally self-ascribed.
I’m sure we all know some very intelligent people who are not elitist. They do not believe in a subjective entitlement to special treatment because of their intelligence. They are humble and believe they must work and persuade others for what they want and not merely assert a claim based on a measurable level of intelligence. They are exactly the opposite of the academic elitists so abundant in classrooms and universities who believe they are entitled to the outrageous salaries and benefits they extort from the public, asserting it is their intelligence that grants them this entitlement.
Another subjective measurement for the elitist is compassion. Here again, I think we all know people who have been generous with their time and money to help less fortunate people. They are not loud and boastful but make their contributions quietly. The elitist measure their compassion by how loudly and stubbornly they advocate for any cause they can find. The deeper they believe they are digging into other people’s pockets, the more compassion they claim to have, even if what they advocate has a deleterious effect. They believe their loud mouthed false display of compassion entitles them to special recognition and notoriety.
Assuming we now understand what an elitist and elitism are, it is a small leap to understand why they hate America. America denies the elitist the privileges they believe they have earned from their self-ascribed superiority. Most of the elitist academics I have met believe they should be handsomely rewarded for what they think despite the fact it is generally worthless. How many academics have we seen take the stage in debates to present the most twisted, convoluted and incoherent thoughts imaginable to the applause of mind-numbed followers? To these academic elitists, they believe they should be rewarded for sitting on their ass all day thinking useless thoughts. That doesn’t work in America. Since we don’t appreciate them, we must be repealed and replaced.
The media elitists are another kettle of fish. I think we must must admit they work hard to spin the webs they weave but they are lazy when it comes to basic research. They find the sources they like and bury the ones they don’t. Media elitism has the goal of shaping what we think and eventually, through repetition, what we believe. The media elitists consider themselves the conscience of America.
At the time of this writing, it would be impossible to not mention the entertainment elitists. Of course, I single out the NFL and some teams desperately trying to evade public wrath and consequent loss of income. Greed, not guilt has motivated these teams to walk back their anti-American protests. The only thing the NFL is sorry about is the loss of income. The sports elitists here include players, coaches, owners and the commissioner. One tactic now is to try to frame this as a First Amendment issue, which it is not. They exercised their First Amendment right. No law, lawmaker, judge or President stopped them. Even President Trump can’t stop them, but that doesn’t mean he can’t criticize them, speaking for people who don’t have microphones and cameras seeking their opinions.
What it comes down to is simple. With the implicit consent of the NFL owners and coaches, players used the football field to purposely disrespect the two most recognized symbols of America, the flag and National Anthem. No matter what the players claim their protest symbolizes, there is no doubt what the flag and anthem symbolize. This is not only open disrespect of President Trump, but as the protest spreads it is clearly a tantrum against the people who voted for President Trump.
This is just another campaign in the war to repeal and replace America, but this one didn’t go well for the elitist. We are in an ideological war where the violence of the temper tantrum is proportional to the number of anti-American politicians in any particular locality. The elitists are expressing their contempt for America, those who love American and especially those who serve America. The players are pawns for the power elitists who want America gone They are declaring every venue a battlefield, whether it is the TV in your home, the sports stadium, your public schools, movie theaters and any business they can intimidate.
I have never been a big Trump fan, but I stand with my President on the side of America in this war. A loss means repeal and replace America and that is not acceptable. This is the war between people who want to be masters and those who want to be free.
