The Obamessiah of Pickpocket Politics
July 14, 2008

Let’s get real with each other for a few minutes. Only one thing really divides America down the center line of politics known as "left” vs. "right,” the almighty dollar, now worth approximately .35 cents, thanks to more than seventy years of deficit spending.

Every national election is about the same thing really. Half of Americans use every national election cycle as nothing more than an opportunity to pick the pockets of the other half. The other half is running for cover.

I have often written about the lefts endless effort to shove their way to the public feeding trough of tax-payer funded federal gifts.

I should be more specific… There is no such thing as a free public feeding trough. Every penny in that trough came from the pockets of fellow Americans who earned them and politicians, who pick those pockets as an expedient means of gaining personal political power, are nothing more than thieves for hire.

From now on, I’m referring to the practice as "pickpocket politics” and clearly, Barack Obama is angling to become the new Pied Piper of the practice.

Selling Hope

Half of Americans are supporting Barack Obama in the hope that he will do a better job of picking the pockets of the other half of Americans. They hope Obamessiah is a better thief than the leftists before him.

Too strong of words for your liking? Feeling offended? Good!

Out of curiosity, I looked up "pickpocket” and I think Wikipedia has it exactly right…

"Picking pockets is a crime, a form of larceny which involves the stealing of money and valuables from the person or victim without their noticing the theft at the time.”

This pretty well describes the daily activities of congress, doesn’t it, especially Democrats?

Of course, if voters themselves picked their neighbors pockets, it would be a crime and they would go to prison if caught. But when they elect politicians to do it on their behalf, it’s not a crime, its some insane form of economic justice, which for some odd reason, they feel entitled to.

Let’s face it… on the basis of Obama’s otherwise blank résumé, petty theft is likely the only thing the south Chicago nobody might actually be qualified for. Now he hopes to graduate to grand larceny on the federal level.

Obamessiah supporters want the things they have been trained to get from the pockets of others and they hope Obama is just the man to bring home the bacon.

Selling Change

When Obama was a small time thief in Chicago, he was working with chump change on a local neighborhood scale, kind of like a small time thug running a protection racket in the south-side projects. He called it "community organizing” in the spirit of his mentor, Saul Alinsky.

Once in Washington, he set his sites on much grander schemes and if he can manage to scam his way into the White House, well, the federal trough is his new playground and he won’t be playing with chump change anymore.

Obama’s Pickpocket Platform

Like his brethren at the Democratic Socialists of America, Obama’s entire campaign is built upon the platform of "pickpocket politics,” (aka socialism via democratic process.) And like Karl Marx, who recognized that "democracy is the new road to socialism,” Obama promises to "take from each according to his ability; and give to each according to his need.”

It’s not an original idea of course, or even a truly progressive notion. Socialism is a temporary stop on the road to communism, and both of these failed economic/political systems are actually regressive and oppressive in nature. But hey, who cares about the facts anymore?

Obama and his ilk have repeatedly stated that "the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives.

This is the sea change Obama has in mind. Sounds neat, huh?

I took this quote from the introduction to "What is Democratic Socialism?” posted on the Democratic Socialists of America web site. If you take the time to read the entire pdf document issued by this organization, then compare it to the Obama campaign platform, you will find it impossible to continue denying Obama’s real idea of change. Socialism…

The People Want Change!

Does it really matter what kind of change?

When former Senator Phil Gramm recently pointed out that too many Americans had gone from winners to "whiners,” he was referring to those who have come to demand so much of their government and so little of themselves. He was right…

Half of the nation now votes for thieves who will pick the pockets of their fellow Americans to provide unearned economic equality in a form of Democratic Socialism, at the expense of individual freedom and liberty. Here are a few important facts to keep handy when listening to carefully crafted campaign speeches…

▪ Universal Health Care IS Socialized Medicine

▪ A Nationalized Energy Industry IS Socialized Energy

▪ Social Entitlements ARE Socialism

▪ From each according to his ability; to each according to his need, IS Marxism

▪ Taxation without consent or representation IS tyranny and theft

▪ Truth is still true, whether anyone believes it or not

▪ A Lie is still a lie, even if everyone believes it

Last but not least, every time you vote for someone to pick the pockets of your fellow Americans, you steal a piece of their freedom and liberty and relinquish a piece of your own.

Barack Obama is the new Pied Piper of pickpocket politics and every modern Democrat campaign promise is based upon the concepts of Marx and Alinsky, not the men who fought for the freedom and liberty every American is called to protect and preserve.

There is nothing American about it. Still, you are free to support it. But it is vital to America’s future that you at least know what it is you are supporting.

Socialism, even by democratic process, is still socialism. It has failed everywhere on earth it has been tried, including America.

America had no deficits and no national debt before it became a nanny state, picking the pockets of the most productive for benefit of the least productive.

You can’t escape reality, no matter how much you’d like to ignore it. The same people who bankrupted Social Security and Medicare are seeking to control the entire Health Care and energy industries, because they are the two largest cash cows in America.

If Americans are truly foolish enough to support the continued theft of American productivity, they deserve what they get in the end… and when the well runs dry, they will vote for the freedom to dig their own well again… if they still have a vote.

Thomas Jefferson wrote, "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

For more than seventy years now, American voters have failed to heed these words. Every Obama supporter must continue to ignore these words in order to support Obama. How sad that history must repeat itself…
