Fish or Cut Bait...No Bailout!
September 30, 2008

Ronald Reagan believed in “trust but verify”. The present bailout under consideration is beyond even Reagan’s high principle to ensure honesty of any transaction. We are now faced with “ultimately trust nothing until verified” – courtesy of our own congress.

Congress and the President missed the boat. We are about to succumb to the very government officials who are the abettors of the worst financial embezzlement in U.S. history. The real first actions should have been to locate all financial assets of all C.E.O.’s perpetrating this crime, freezing all assets - including real estate (from liquidation) to include funds from fraudulently obtained perks, i.e. bonuses, stocks and golden parachutes. Reason: They “cooked the books” and failed to divulge the pending financial crisis - thereby committing fraud when they kept accepting the money.

We need a lot more information before anyone sits down to make a decision. Right now we know nothing to allow us to separate fact from fiction. They are playing roulette with our money while again expecting the taxpayers to agree without any justification other than the government’s word that all will be well. The congress and the president may have already missed the boat and are leaving we, the people, holding the bag - again

Reid, Pelosi, et al, have allowed some 2,100 earmarks to be attached to the most important financial crisis solution(s) in our history – 1,300 in the House and 800 in the senate! Only someone who is a dedicated enemy of the U.S. or next to brain-dead can believe congress is seriously working on any solution with the American taxpayers in mind – especially those of us who are paying our obligatory contracts consistently and on time.

This catastrophe is a result of grand larceny on an unprecedented scale by corporations, banks and our U.S. Congress – all of whom have trashed not only basic honesty but also common sense, laws (some of which were enacted by congress) but they are all guilty of dereliction of duty to all. They have no shame and are giving these greedy, power hungry elitist criminals another bailout, which will only put the last nail in our coffin as a free nation and herald our conversion to socialism. Socialist nations are presided over by an oligarchic form of government, not a democratic republic.

We cannot trust a congress controlled by democrats for the past two years who engineered yet another stealth rape of the Social Security Trust Fund in 2007 of $190,000.000,000 (190 billion dollars) – abetted, admittedly by voter apathy and no interest in what congress was conjuring up under cover of darkness.

We must insist that all stages of this band-aid be 1000 percent transparent prior to signing any agreement into law.

The citizens of the U.S. have every right to demand assurance they will not be burglarized again – ever.

Both parties are culpable and it makes no difference, which bears the greatest guilt. Democrats have had two years to keep even one promise they made in 2006 to the American Electorate and they failed miserably. They showed voters they would not police themselves by gutting the Ethics Bill and further rubbed salt into the financial wounds of this country by attaching hundreds of pork earmarks to the most important legislation as extortion to passage of the legislation.

We have reached the fork in the road – if we choose this bail instead of hard and tough requirements we should expect to walk away from our homes and move into tents because none but the rich will be able to afford home ownership. Everything offered as a solution is based on a perfect scenario in a perfect world. Hello! When was the last time a politician or an embezzler admitted guilt to cheating – at any level? Never!

Handing $700,000,000,000 (700 billion) over to an individual (who incidentally conveniently bailed out pf one of the principal culprit
corporations) or group of individuals without oversight control by a citizen panel is sheer folly.

Get involved or get fleeced again!
