Cohesive Mindsets
June 20, 2009
Republicans are running to and fro as if they have
no sense of direction. We see RINOS on the political
talk shows claiming they know what is best for the
Republican Party.
Politicians such as Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee
are soliciting Christians and saying what they
believe Christians want to hear. Colin Powell (a
liberal) wants to lead the Republican Party, even
though, he endorsed Barack Hussein Obama in 2008.
Independents and Conservatives wait for a miracle to
take place. They sit around waiting on leaders to
suddenly manifest and revive the once mighty
Republican Party.
To be honest, I will be the first one to tell anyone
miracles do take place, but not without true
expectation and a whole lot of faith. One could call
me a realist who walks in faith. Does the statement
seem contradictory, maybe to some, but not in the
political world.
Here’s why – a few months ago a discussion was being
held with many Conservatives who seemed to be
erudite, well-versed, and logical. In a reply to
some of them, an answer to their question was one
word, ‘unity’.
Many of these wonderful Conservatives understood the
use of the one word, but the one reply received from
one Conservative stuck with me. Perhaps I should say
the reply bothered me. In the gentleman’s
well-meaning reply he stated, "I’m not a
collectivist; I’ll do this on my own”.
At first the words were a bit shocking, but those
few choice words helped me to understand what was
wrong with the Republican Party, and the
Conservative Ideology. This will not be a shocker to
many, but the one word missing within the party is –
"Leadership”.
For a few minutes, let's dust off those American
history books, and read about the great leaders
throughout our history. The Revolutionary War was
led by great leaders. Sam Adams, George Washington,
John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin, and the list goes
on. Men like
Sam Adams were a minority, but believed in a
great cause. They stood against tyranny, and through
their leadership we now have the United States of
America.
Abe Lincoln took a stand to save the Union. Teddy
Roosevelt brought about great changes during the
turn of the 20th century.
President Ronald Reagan led us to see the demise
of the USSR.
What do all these leaders have in common? They
brought about a 'cohesive mindset' that put ideas to
work and brought about powerful changes for the good
of the common person to keep and obtain Liberty.
The good news is, before these men stepped up many
were asking the questions we are asking during this
very time. "Where are the leaders”?
Today, I am
asking the leaders to step forward. Do not let fear
stop you from completing your destiny. The people
are not looking for someone with a personal, selfish
agenda, but the people are waiting on those who love
America. Leaders who believe in the republican form
of government, individualism, liberty, and the
Constitution; a leader who understands that those
ideas were put in place for all people. Needed are
leaders who are willing to make the sacrifice for
future generations to enjoy life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness at any cost.
Do not let fear hold you back, step forward and
drench this generation with your Conservative
Ideologies in order for the Republican Party to have
a cohesive mindset to take back this country. The
time is now to stand against the ‘soft
tyranny ’ taking place in Washington, D.C. Take
advantage of such a time as this, because your time
has come to lead.
