We aren’t to be trusted. Only the government can be trusted!

We aren’t to be trusted with enterprises in achievement or business development, Instead the federal government has decided for us that multi-trillion dollar entitlements and porky pig bills masquerading as emergency stimulus are needed to bring our economy into repair.

We aren’t to be trusted with managing and raising our own children. Instead, the Rights of the Child initiative, proposed control and limitation of the parents in parenting from the United Nations, is being discussed in committee for a later vote in Congress.

We aren’t to value life as a constitutionally mandated “inalienable right.” Instead we must promote killing babies in the womb – and out of the womb; we must force doctors and hospitals to do the killings whether it is against their moral code or not. Instead, the Obama Administration is focused on FOCA, the Freedom of Choice Act, which will make all hospitals and doctors perform abortions...or else. It isn’t enough to murder 50 million babies and call it “choice,”  President Obama insured, with his first Executive Order, abortions and the murder of children worldwide.

We already see in the first few months of this inarguably neo-Marxist administration a bold, anointed congressional push toward nationalizing banks, controlling states with forced federally mandated programs, nationalized health care and limits, ignoring of states’ rights and financial and fiscal malfeasance.

Now, the federal government has expressed its disdain for – of all things, of all things quintessentially American – backyard gardens?

Oh yes! You could soon be subject to a $1 million fine and even lose your property for growing food.

Apparently, the Progressive-Left, neo-Marxist social engineers haven’t had their fill of imposing their will on the American people. There is a new bill HR875, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009, currently slinking in the shadows of Capitol Hill. This attack on liberty, this abomination of “legislation,” uses the talking-point, buzz-words usually associated with our modern-day elitist Left: “food safety,” “modernization,” “carbon emissions,” and “fertilizer concerns.”

This “Backyard Gardens are Evil Bill” was introduced by Rosa DeLauro (D-CT).

Interestingly – and moreover, disturbingly – the wording of this bill effectively eliminates competition to her husband’s corporation, Monsanto, the world’s leading producer of herbicides and genetically engineered seed. I see the logic of this “emergency bill,” don’t you? We must be manipulated – no forced – to use herbicides, herbicides that DeLauro’s company makes. For Congresswoman DeLauro, using chemicals and genetically engineered seed id preferable to the use of despicable, smelly, evil, carbon emissions producing, nasty and un-American cow manure; fertilizer that has been used for centuries to fertilize gardens and crops naturally, effectively, at low cost and successfully.

Back to DeLauro’s “rescue from smelly hell bill”...

This bill already has 39 co-sponsors and was been sent to the House Agriculture Committee on February 4th. The affect of this bill is to – bottom line – give the FDA oversight control of all food production at every level. Perhaps the most infuriating element of this grand over-reach of government, this usurpation of our basic right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness (the acquisition of food) is that this incredibly bad piece of legislation would impose up to a $1 million fines per offense! Additionally, “offenders” would be subject to criminal prosecution for those evil enough to produce, manufacture and/or distribute “illegal food products”; for those to “libertine” to bow down before the neo-Marxist god of regulation: the 111th Congress of the United States of America!

Let’s examine how far away from the Charters of Freedom our country has ventured in the first 60 days of the “post-partisan” era of Obama:

▪ We have been forced to pay for more abortions here and worldwide

▪ We are forcing doctors and hospitals to provide abortion services against their moral conscience.

▪ We are forcing gun owners to register their weapons and ammunition for government tracking.

▪ Our elected officials have disguised – albeit ineffectively – a blatant raid on the US Treasury as the need for “emergency stimulus” totaling in the trillions of dollars.

▪ We are being forced to close a detention facility it Guantanamo Bay, Cuba – a detention facility recently given a clean bill of health where the Geneva Conventions are concerned by no less than Attorney General Eric Holder – while extending citizen equated due process rights to enemy combatant terrorists who have declared war against our nation, all in an effort to appease the uneducated and ignorant among the international community.

The real emergency that our country is facing – an emergency that must be dealt with harshly and quickly – is the notion that anyone would dare to have a backyard gardens, using natural, carbon emitting fertilizer, simply and selfishly to grow corn, beans or carrots for their tables.
