Maybe Obama Really Can’t
Remember His Associations

Is Illinois in need of an Inpatient treatment center or something? They certainly seem to have a problem getting a good Governor don’t they? Nice, hair Governor Blagojevich was hauled off in handcuffs and facing many charges, one of which was trying to sell for big bucks Obama’s senate seat. Isn’t that precious? Before that they had Governor George Ryan, once again the center of a corruption investigation who is serving a six-year prison sentence. I believe racketeering and fraud charges ring a bell with that joker.

Why don’t they just pass go and go straight to the Gambino Crime family to find the next Governor. At least no one would need to pretend they were “good”, went to church and had a concept of virtue and integrity somewhere.

This Blagojevich piece of work was apparently on a roll since 2002. Allegedly he was trying to get the editor of the Chicago Tribune fired, of course for good reasons, because the editor had dared to write questioning and not so supportive articles about him. It seems, reading just a few of the endless bribe and sell off attempts, that he was quite the entrepreneur. The sad thought that went through my mind when this came down yesterday was, how many of our nation’s Governors does this behavior reflect?

Sadly, many Politicians seem to think, that once elected, its old crime family rules that prevail and their importance puts them at the 4th person of the Trinity. People and businesses must bow down and pay if they want open doors in the state!

Of course in case you hadn’t noticed, this was the Governor in Obama’s state. What a shock! Of course Obama went on the record when asked about any contact with Blagojevich, “I had no contact with the governor or his office and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening.” Isn’t that a relief?

I suppose David Axelrod, Obama’s senior adviser was on drugs when he appeared on Fox News in Chicago in November 2008 and said something quiet different. “I know he’s talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them.” Magically, as the nasty Blagojevich arrest emerged, Axelrod issued another statement saying “I was mistaken when I told an interviewer last month that the President-elect has spoken directly to Governor Blagojevich about the Senate vacancy. They did not then or at any time discuss the subject.”

No one is accusing Obama of knowing anything or being tainted. It’s just puzzling that before Blagojevich was arrested Obama was described by his senior advisor, no less, to be heavily involved with the Governor and aware and excited about the various, possible appointments to his Senate seat. Only after Blagojevich became a lightening rod of horror did Obama and his senior advisor say they knew nothing, saw nothing and did nothing. That gives me great comfort, doesn’t it you?

He seems to have had confusion and about face reversals regarding his involvement with Tony Resco and William Airs as well. He went from working with them, fund raisers in the tune of millions for his campaigns from their own homes, working along side in many ways, even on the same boards, to “I barely knew them” “associations at arms links,” We have seen total back peddling. He seemed to have the same insight and recall confusion with Rev. Wright who pastured the church he was in for 20 years. As we all must recall by now, he couldn’t remember hearing any of the racist, nasty, anti American, belittling and horrifying statements from the pulpit. He just didn’t recall. By now we all know the Reverend’s words from hell!

When I look at the extreme reversals of fact and recall with association after association, now Blagojevich, I am wondering if there is a brain injury none of us were told about with Obama. Maybe he really can’t remember. I certainly can relate if there was a nasty motorcycle accident we haven’t heard about yet. I know when I had my near fatal motorcycle wreck 3 years ago, I was left with severe brain injuries. One of which was short-term memory storage and recall. As Obama apparently seems to struggle with, I had people coming every day to visit me in the hospital but when they left my room I couldn’t recall they had been there. Forgetting, new conversations, people and events, while repeating myself chronically became my reality for 6 months until that part of my brain recovered.
