A Socialist Insurgency: Election 2008
November 3, 2008

in·sur·gen·cy: Pronunciation: \-jən(t)-sē\: noun : plural in·sur·gen·cies 1: the quality or state of being insurgent; specifically : a condition of revolt against a government that is less than an organized revolution and that is not recognized as belligerency --Webster’s

We have been concerned with existential threats for so long that we have forgotten to watch our back door. While we defeated Communism in much of the rest of the world, it quietly crept into our schools and institutions, disguised as a more palatable communitarian "philosophy.” It is now poised to take America. It did so without violence, by subterfuge and stealth, but make no mistake, Presidential hopeful Barrack Obama is motivated by the same controlling impulses that inspired Castro and Chavez and Noriega, that same totalitarian tendency that animates all utopian ideologies.

A man who was bred into socialism, who was mentored as a boy by communists and their sympathizers, and who was drawn to Marxists and radicals his whole life; is not a centrist, nor is he even truly American as most of us define it. He does not esteem our foundational values, but looks to them as oppressive and deeply flawed. The care he takes to obscure and hide his associations, to present himself as an everyday American is a façade, a ruse and a tool to gain the power that he can use to deconstruct us. His is part of a greater plan, a loose but relentless effort to win power by working inside the system and by corrupting it, a fallback tactic used by insurgent movements worldwide, when violence fails and support for their revolution falters.

The far left, the left of unrepentant communists and socialists, of radical academics and revisionists, the dregs of failed revolutionaries and "progressive” organizations, of entitlement activists and race scam artists, have taken a foothold. Their candidate has nothing to qualify him, no achievement, no legacy, no history of conviction and action, just a solid socialist upbringing, with communist mentors and radical friends, nurtured and promoted in the corruption of Chicago politics, and enabled by the radical rich.

If you thought that we were merely in a divisive election you should by now realize it is far more than that. It is no less than an attempt to steal control through illegal means and transform America into a socialist state. It is not the battle of political ideas; it is the battle for survival of our democratic republic against an ideology that is a proven failure and a certain disaster. It is the attempt by socialist elites to implement an agenda that is carefully hidden from the voter and would be abhorrent to them, should they understand the implications.

The ridicule and scorn heaped on those who warned of this day deterred many from prudent watchfulness. Too many Americans have just now awoken from their stupor to realize that the widespread voter fraud and electoral manipulation by Democrat-supported and leftist-run organizations may make their vote inconsequential. Funded by our avowed enemies, lauded by dictators and terrorists, cheered on by the gleeful Schadenfreude of an envious Europe, they live in the Oprah and Olberman world of political correctness, of encounter group histrionics, and manufactured self-loathing. Americans have forgotten that we do not betray our principles for the good opinion of foreign princes. Our nation was not built on our popularity with the foreign mob nor will those fair weather allies save us from our lesser angels. We must be true to ourselves, and in this Barrack Obama is not our countryman. He stands against us and with the crowds in Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate, where he so famously spread his globalist and socialist message.

As the election reaches its final days, the pro-Obama and Obama-supported leftist Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has been widely accused of election fraud. Any pretense of bipartisanship is gone. ACORN and dozens of similar organizations are responsible for hundreds of thousands of false registrations in at least 20 states, sure to be followed by multiple votes, felon votes, and illegal immigrant votes. State democrats enable and hide evidence, and congressional democrats provide top-cover, making this "election” as corrupt as any third world dictatorship. We may never know how widespread the corruption is or how thoroughly they have undermined the process. Ballot stuffing is a time-honored Democrat tactic.

There is solid evidence that the Obama campaign has accepted millions of dollars in illegal contributions from fictitious donors, ineligible foreigners and special interest groups through cutouts, bundlers and launderers. They do not even filter contributions on their web site for obvious fraud and happily report their fund raising success to a spellbound press. These leftist thieves grow ever bolder as Election Day approaches, knowing that their transgressions will be covered up by an Obama Justice Department should they win. Although ACORN receives significant taxpayer funding, it is openly calling voters to support Obama, in clear violation of its "community charity” status.

The Democrats look you in the eye and lie. When confronted they shift blame and responsibility. They accuse republicans of trying to "disenfranchise poor voters” when the latter attempt to verify voter legitimacy. This is as ridiculous an accusation as can be spoken, but not surprising when one realizes how long the Democrats have been cheating. How are they doing it? Not just with activist organizations and fraud, but by ensuring that democrat operatives are well placed in federal law enforcement agencies, the Justice Department, and the Judiciary. The Wall Street Journal reported on 27 October:

"It doesn't help Justice's credibility that attorneys charged with supervising voting issues are avowed Barack Obama supporters. According to Federal Election Commission data, James Walsh, an attorney in the Civil Rights Division, has donated at least $300 to Mr. Obama. His boss, Mark Kappelhoff, has given$2,250 -- nearly the maximum. John Russ, also in Civil Rights, gave at least $600 to Mr. Obama.”

"Vote fraud is real and can affect elections. In 2001, the Palm Beach Post reported that more than 5,600 people who voted in Florida in the 2000 Presidential election had names and data that perfectly matched a statewide list of suspected felons who were barred from voting. Florida was decided by about 500 votes.”

"In 2003, the Indiana Supreme Court overturned the result of a mayor's race because of absentee ballot fraud -- a case that led to a stricter Indiana ID law recently upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. A 2005 Tennessee state Senate race was voided after evidence of voting by felons, nonresidents and the deceased. A Washington State Superior Court judge found that the state's 2004 gubernatorial race, which Democrat Christine Gregoire won by 133 votes, had included at least 1,678 illegal votes.”

"Voter access does need to be protected, but Democrats are using that principle as a political weapon, suggesting that any serious look at fraud is intended to "disenfranchise" voters. This is a naked attempt to protect their friends at Acorn, who have been registering thousands of phony voters. Congress put the voter fraud statutes on the books, and Justice is obliged to enforce them.”

But the Democrats work hard to prevent enforcement. The complicit press assiduously avoids the issue or minimizes it with concocted moral relevancy. They help their allies and undermine the nation. There are no "special reports” or primetime news show exposes, no "investigative journalism” into the dirty dealing of Democrat front groups and activists. The press commits the sins of omission and commission with bias and fabrication and by withholding information detrimental to its candidates. John Edwards’ tawdry and outrageously hypocritical affair was ignored, Obama’s associations and his shady dealings with felons and terrorists are ignored. The LA Times is withholding a derogatory Obama tape from public view, need we wonder why? He is seen supporting and complimenting those who advocate and excuse terrorism with the ultimate goal of genocide. This has been repeated a thousand times in the last year. They are shaping the electorate, programming it with information they control, and determining its point of view with information they withhold, forming public perspectives by controlling public assumptions. How can the citizen form rational opinions and make reasoned assessments of the candidates without a full and robust look at their beliefs, policy proposals and history? They cannot, and that is exactly what the socialists wish. It is information warfare against the American citizen by its own media.

No, this is not politics; this is a political insurgency, where the rules mean nothing, where political agents and provocateurs conduct behind-the-scenes misinformation, propaganda, and espionage, and legislators conspire of enable them. It is not simply the exaggeration and pandering typical of the political season, it is a power grab without ethical boundaries and without honor. The enemy is within the gates, and they want us to believe we are powerless to stop them, to give up, to accept the inevitable.

We cannot succumb to the deception. We cannot believe them even when they shout that the exit polls give a state to Obama. Polls are a tool and a distraction and are usually wrong. We need to get everyone out to vote, every person who can, old and young alike, every last one. We need to crush them at the polls. This is a battle we dare not lose. The consequences are too dire, the potential damage too great. We need to win this thing, and when we do, we need to clean house.

"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.” – Samuel Adams
