Are We Going To Let Them Drive Us Off A Cliff?
December 13, 2010
Do you ever feel like you are inside an enclosed trailer of an 18-wheeler,
locked up with a whole bunch of other scared-to-death people. The driver has
gone nuts and is weaving all over the road, he won't hit the brakes and the
truck is headed down a steep hill, picking up speed with every foot and there is
a sharp curve at the bottom? Or perhaps the truck driver is playing chicken with
the driver of another truck, also loaded with scared people and they are both
headed towards a cliff at an ever-increasing speed, to see who will chicken out
first and hit his brakes just before the cliff's edge.
Right now, that is exactly what your government in Washington DC is doing and
has been doing with your lives and your fortunes for a very long time. They are
playing chicken with your money, your liberty, your life and American
sovereignty.
For God's sake, if you were in the trailer of the truck, careening down the
hill, wouldn't you do everything in your power to get out of the trailer and
take the wheel from the deranged driver? Your damn rights you would! There are
millions of us in this national trailer and we had better start breaking the
door down and grab the wheel before it is too late. There are only 545 drivers
and a bunch of idiots following them, but there are millions of us. It should be
no contest, if we can escape from the trailer. Only fear is stopping us.
Some of these drivers of our "truck" are pathologically nuts, or so stupid it
defies description. Take for instance one Representative Hank Johnson, a
Democrat from Georgia, questioning an admiral (an admiral mind you) about the
Island of Guam. You have to see this. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bs23CjIWMgA)
It is indicative of the mindless idiots who have taken control of the "truck"
and "trailer" we are trapped in and why, if we let them stay in the driver's
seat, they will drive us over a cliff.
Representative Johnson is implying to this admiral, with medals all over his
chest and hash marks half way up his sleeve, that if we add more people to Guam,
the Island will "tip over". Tip over? What a lunatic! How in the Hell do people
like this ever get elected to political office? It isn't much of a stretch to
assume that the people that elected him, are just as stupid as he is. And why do
highly decorated admirals have to put up with this lunacy? Why the admiral
didn't laugh in Johnson's face is a testament to being highly disciplined and in
control of his emotions. We did notice a slight smirk on his face and the people
behind the admiral were noticeably fidgeting.
But do you want this guy making public policy and passing laws? Do you want him
involved in the health care system, or the IRS, or the Department of Homeland
Security? Do you want him making life and death decisions for our military? Come
on! This guy is a dolt, a dunderhead and an idiot. He ought to be drummed out of
Congress on a rail. We submit that, unfortunately, Representative Johnson has a
lot of company in Congress.
Look! We have been through all this before. We get it. It isn't new. Politicians
will sit there on a run-away train and argue (they call it debate) over whether
to apply the brakes or drag their feet on the ground to stop the train. One side
says we will have to replace the brake shoes in an emergency stop and the cost
is high. And the other side says that the cost of replacing everyone's shoes
from the dragging will add to the deficit. By the time the politicians get done
arguing (debating) and finally arrive at a "consensus", the speeding train has
hit a curve and derailed and everybody on the train and most of the people in
the vicinity of the crash, are killed and the "train" destroyed. This isn't just
crazy, it's suicidal!
Well folks, our speeding train has brakes that work alright, but the politicians
are still arguing over what method they should use to stop it and won't pull the
emergency cord because of their "ideological" differences. Don't you think it is
about time for the passengers on the train to rush the engine and "convince" the
engineer to apply the damn brakes before the curve? Or do we wait and try to
replace the politicians first, in the hopes of getting a better decision? If you
have to think about this choice, you are part of the problem.
At this very moment your politicians are arguing over the direction to take this
country, when the time for argument was over years ago. We either hit the brakes
now, or we die as a people and as a nation. We either overwhelm our "train's"
engineers and vehemently "assist" them in applying the brakes, or allow the
train to crash. The Dream Act! Don't Ask, Don't Tell! Extending Un-employment
benefits! The Omnibus Land Bill! Closing Gitmo! Health Care! Confiscating our
401(k)'s and IRA's! Wikileaks! and God knows what else they have hidden in their
corrupt legislative system! Are they nuts? Obviously! We've known for some time
that "Nancy" is 20 cards short of a full deck.
Just pass the extension of the Bush tax cuts so that we don't go into a double
dip recession in 2011 and then send the lame duck gang out of town before they
can do any more damage. Let the sane ones come back next year (if there are any)
under a new mantle of leadership and let's see if these "guys" and "gals" can
get it right this time. The Tea Party folks couldn't have been more succinct.
Repeal Obama Care and start cutting government and government spending to the
bone, before our "train" reaches the sharp curve and derails, taking the rest of
the world with it. You think it is bad in Europe and you thought the L. A. riots
were tragic? Just wait! You ain't seen nothing yet when the riots, chaos and
anarchy reach American shores because your government finally ran out of other
people's money and sent us careening over a financial cliff.
We keep asking? Where is the soon-to-be, medal-of-honor hero who will charge the
enemy without regard to his own safety and catalyze the rest of us to action? It
isn't anyone we know that will save us yet. It isn't Romney, Palin or Gingrich.
It is someone who will come out of the shadows when we least expect it, raise
his (or her) hand in the air and says, "follow me into the political fire!"
Presently, we who cherish freedom and liberty, seem to be leaderless, rudderless
and without direction, but we won't be for long. The music is already on the
page, but the words haven't been written yet. Rest assured, someone is working
on those words right now. America is fired up and ready to rumble, but the left
hasn't heard the music yet.
We will wrest control from those that would do harm to America. We will not let
them drive us off a cliff. We will solve our money and energy problems. We will
let the world know that we are not wimps and we will not play their game of
re-distributing our wealth to the rest of the world. Our generosity, national or
international, will be on our terms, not theirs. We will not give in to their
"climate change" scam. We will not break the bonds of our Constitution in order
to appease those who envy us, or be merged into the "global" community. We will
bring our nation "train" to a safe stop and the world will breath a sigh of
relief because of it. We will do all these things because we are Americans and
no false Messiah, or an evil, draconian ideology will detour us from defending
and maintaining American freedom and liberty. The stability, security and
freedom of every human on earth depends on it.
