Three Ways to Close the Obamacare Building
March 26, 2010

When the law is wrong, you change the law, or change the law makers.

It never ceases to amaze this author on how the American people just lay down and play dead when a law is passed, no matter how egregious or unconstitutional the law may be. We moan and groan that our leaders are corrupt and don't listen to us, but very seldom, on a grand scale, do we take our leaders to task for their misdeeds and their vastly exceeding constitutionally enumerated powers.

Very seldom do we take our protests to where they live. Very seldom do they pay a price for their arrogance and corruption, except at the ballot box. And if they are retired by the voters, they retire with a full salary pension, paid for by the taxpayers, with benefits very few Americans obtain at their retirement. Other than the ones who are caught for their crimes and go to jail, most get off scot-free.

Most hold their political offices far too long. Excessive terms in office lead to entrenchment, corruption and an eventual disconnect from the electorate. Representative government goes out the window with tenure.

But let's return to the issue at hand, Obama care that has now become law. Yes, there are multiple legal challenges from state attorneys general. But even if these cases were to prevail, the wheels of justice take way too long for justice to ever be served and justice at the U. S. Supreme Court level, is many times, suspect. By the time any of these multiple state cases, that will eventually be combined into one case, reach the U. S. Supreme Court, much of the Obama care damage will have already taken place.

Billions of new taxes will be collected. If the bill is overturned on constitutional grounds, will the collected taxes be returned to the taxpayer? Not likely!

Millions of new enrollees into the health care system will have overwhelmed the system.

Millions of illegal aliens will be drawing benefits off of Obama Care. An abomination to every legal American.

Tens of thousands of doctors and nurses will escape the chaos being brought to health care and the government-enforced reduction of their income, leaving the existing doctors, nurses and over-burdened hospitals, to handle millions more cases. An all-out brain drain will occur as health care providers seek greater financial opportunities elsewhere, commensurate with their skills, or retire altogether. Health errors and mistakes will increase dramatically. People will die from those mistakes. Health care in general will become mediocre and sloppy. The Hippocratic oath of "do no harm", will evaporate.

Insurance companies will go out of business with the double whammy of having to insure more people with greater health risks and the government lock on insurance premiums. The profits on health insurance are already very low. Anything that erodes those profits will drive insurance companies out of business and in the end, result in a single-payer, government-run health care system, the dream of Obama and all the other progressives.

Employers will dump their group health insurance onto the government and pay the fines, as the fines will be cheaper than administering the constant headaches of employee health care, eventually leading to a single-payer system.

States will go deeper into debt as the costs of insuring the un-insured through Medicaid will skyrocket. Most states are already broke.

Scamming the system will increase, along with waste, fraud and abuse and government will be powerless to stop it. Government's promise to clean up waste, fraud and abuse is so hollow, as to be essentially meaningless.

Cheating on taxes will increase and compliance with an already convoluted, complex and wholly insane income tax system, will decrease dramatically.

Lawsuits by special interest groups who claim the government is not complying with the new 2,700 page law, will clog the courts and the settlement amounts to those groups will be in the billions, just like what the environmental groups have been and are doing with environmental legislation.

Taxes will have to be jacked up across the board, as the costs of national health care go out of sight. A national sales tax will be implemented within one to two years, as the promise of a revenue-neutral, government health care system, is exposed as the bald-faced lie that it is.

Finally, government will be so intrusive into people's lives that any semblance of freedom and liberty will be but a pied piper's pipe dream. Freedom will have died in the year 2010.

But worse than all this, millions of Americans will now believe that health care is a right and will gather together by the millions to lobby government to continue their largess, on the backs of the taxpayers.

All this and more, will descend on what was once the best health care system on the planet. These are the unintended consequences of nationalizing the American health care system by an out-of-control, arrogant and corrupt government, now in the hands of sixties radicals.

As bad as this health care picture is, there are ways to bring it to an immediate halt. We shall describe three solutions here. If they were implemented immediately and across the board, Obama care would go the way of the dodo bird.

1. As Walgreens and Rite Aid are already doing in Washington State, pharmacies across the country need to stop taking any more Medicare and Medicaid patients ...... period.

2. Every health care insurer in America needs to put a freeze on insuring any new groups or individuals.

3. All private general practitioners and health care specialists need to cease accepting any new Medicare and Medicaid patients and doctors should declare a one-week holiday from any and all surgeries. If they did the one-week "surgery holiday" just before the November 2010 election, the wrath of the American voter against the Democrats would be unprecedented and overwhelming.

These are drastic measures but they would bring the "Obama Care Building" down in months, instead of years. If these solutions did not work, the only thing left for Americans is to elect all new conservative legislators at every level of government and repeal the legislation. If that doesn't work then we will be forced to resort to whole sale resistance to all government authority. Because what is left, if none of this works, is unthinkable.

The question is, will there be a large enough commitment to these solutions by those in the health care industry, or by tens of millions of Americans on a grand scale, to return America to some sense of sanity and stability? It all depends on the level of passion and the strong desire to reclaim our liberty at any cost, that is running through the American psyche right now, as the result of a massive fundamental transformation of America by those who seek its downfall.
