About Ercille I. Christmas Ercille I. Christmas was born in the tiny Caribbean island
of St. Kitts, the “Gibraltar of the Caribbean." She is thrilled to be an
American citizen, living in “the land of the free and the home of the
brave." Formerly a supervisor in the insurance industry, her life changed on
September 11, 2001, and she has devoted every minute since then, to speaking
and writing about the threat that Islamic terrorism and internal
anti-American behavior pose to our country. Her book, “Thoughts
of a Proud American," can be bought on Amazon.com, and she also blogs at

Betrayal by Self & Mauling by Wolves July 22, 2009
It was not supposed to happen like this. This nation was supposed to
endure and continue to be God’s model country. He allowed this country
to be born. He allowed a “rag tag” band of patriots to take on the
mighty British Empire and win. He may not have fired a musket, but
perhaps He guided the hands of those in the continental Army.
My fellow Americans – are you about to do an “Esau?” Esau sold his
birthright for a bowl of porridge. Are you are selling yours for a
health card with a “public option,” and “green” jobs, among other
“goodies,” that are being used to entice you to give up more and more of
your liberty?
What is that birthright? It is a land blessed with verdant pastures,
abundant animals, weather to please both sun lovers and snow bunnies,
and a once-resilient people with that famous “can do” spirit. Will you
allow yourselves to be turned into a population with your hands out,
whose mantra is “tell me what the government can do for me”? How many
citizens remain for whom “give me liberty or give me death” has any
substantive meaning?
Note to the DHS, I am not one of those “rightwing fanatics, potential
terrorists, or just-returned veteran from Iraq or Afghanistan.” I do not
have a “don’t tread on me” bumper sticker that in at least one part of
the country necessitated a traffic stop, as happened to a hapless
citizen. I should get one, though, so I can relate to this symbol of our
new Revolutionary times. Maybe I should also place the “My boss was a
Jewish carpenter” sticker on my car for easier identification.
Dave Z., a fellow citizen patriot, has very effectively articulated the
latest go round in the rush to strip Americans of their liberty, to
counter the shenanigans that are making many of us shiver with fright,
much as those folks in the movie “Night of the Living Dead.”

Dear Senator:
I am writing to implore you to oppose the American Clean Energy and
Security Act of 2009. It is beyond reproach that members of the House of
Representatives would vote for this legislation without having read it,
and the 300 pages added on the day of the vote.
CO2 is a byproduct of the engine that drives our economy. To eliminate
CO2 is to destroy our economy.
President Obama is fond of saying that America, which represents 3% of
the world population, uses 25% of world energy. What he does not say is
that the same 3% contribute 25% of the world gross domestic product, and
hold 25% of the world debt (not including our unfunded liabilities).
Including the unfunded liabilities the United States debt is greater
than the sum total of the debt of the remaining 190 countries of the
world.
Our current national debt is $11.3 trillion, Obamanomics incurred an
added $12 trillion, and our unfunded liability from Social Security,
Medicare and Medicaid is $50.5 trillion dollars. That equates to an
individual debt of $249,324 for every citizen of the U. S. or $641,739
per U.S. household. The cost of this legislation will bankrupt every
American.
Economists at the Heritage Foundation calculate that the Waxman-Markey
legislation will drive up the cost of gasoline by 58%, natural gas by
55%, home heating oil by 56%, electricity by 90%, and the aggregate cost
to a family of four from 2012 to 2035 is $71,493.
There is reason to believe that Global Warming is a Trojan horse. The
EPA suppressed a March 2009 report that casts significant doubt on the
existence of global warming, preferring to rely on the antiquated data
from the United Nations. You must demand a thorough review of that
report and ensure it is provided to the public for all to view.
There is a great deal of rhetoric about creating ‘green jobs.’ Spain has
created green jobs for over a decade. A recent study by economist
Gabriel Calzada Alverez PhD. at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos of
Madrid provides documentation that for every green job that was created
2.2 jobs were eliminated from the private sector. The report goes on to
say that the creation of these jobs cost every man, women and child
$29,000.
Millions of Americans are following your vote on this legislation very
closely. Most of us are planning to make it our mission to ensure the
defeat of all in the Senate that vote for this legislation regardless of
party affiliation. While we may not be members of your state, we will
fund the campaign of who ever opposes you at the next election.
Politicians have often claimed the public has a short memory. Computers
have extended that memory indefinitely.
Please be governed accordingly.
Sincerely,
Z
Letter writer “Z” even sent me the links from which he did his research,
in case I am challenged on the information in his letter, so that, to
quote him, I can shove this info “right up their noses.” I will refrain
from the nose shoving, at this time. Dave is an intelligent retired
American patriot, who is ready to join the workforce again in order to
earn money to replace his retirement fund that was severely eviscerated
by the economic downturn, to use one of the euphemisms out there, which
translates to “you are screwed.”
So if there are any politicians out there who need a researcher or
someone who will actually read those bills being passed unread, “Dave is
Da Man,” to borrow from Kim, another patriot! Truthfully, I hate to
break it to Dave, but he will “never eat lunch in that town again!” Dave
is going to find that he is being squeezed at the top and at the bottom.
Even if he settled for one of those “service” jobs, the fact that he
speaks only English disqualifies him. He is further disqualified because
he is an American citizen. If he raises his sights higher and tries out
for one of those political jobs, he has already disqualified himself yet
again. Exhibit A is the above letter, which provides irrefutable proof
that he has not perfected the art of being a sycophant. He will tell the
emperor that the emperor is bereft of clothing.
Are there any politicians out there who look beyond their personal
political ambition and understand the responsibility that they have to
pass onto future generations a unique country that, despite the
strenuous efforts to dismantle it can still be salvaged and even
restored to its former glory? This is no longer about “party.” The only
ones “partying” are those who enjoy the perks of office, without doing
the work of the office! They have staffers to read bills for them and
“immunity” from the healthcare dictates they are trying to foist on the
rest of us. They are as far removed from reality as the ocean is from
the sun.
I am also rankled by the burgeoning disrespect of our Military. A
Brigadier General recently addressed the Senate and made the “mistake”
of addressing one of the Senators as “ma’am,” for which he was roundly
scolded. She had worked ‘hard” to become a Senator, she said, and by
golly he had better address her as “Senator.” If she had worked as hard
at learning about the history of her country and its military, she would
have realized that military personnel use “ma’am” and “sir” as a sign of
respect. Does she feel unworthy of such respect? I give the Brigadier
General all the respect in the world for not lashing back. I would have
told her: Well don’t look on me as “prey,” and I won’t think of you as
“predator,” Senator!
The same “call me Senator” senator ran into a buzz saw in her next
encounter with someone from the military when she next tried her “rule
by condescension” maneuver. The President of the Black Chamber of
Commerce, Henry Alford, far outranking her (after all he is a
“president” and she is ‘only’ a senator) was far less restrained than
the Brigadier General. He read her the riot act and called her remarks
“condescending” and “racist”! He didn’t even call her “ma’am!” Can we
recruit this former Military man to ‘negotiate” with Terrorists R Us?
Oops, I momentarily forgot that the word “terrorist” is only to be used
in reference to America-loving, God-fearing, abortion-hating citizens
and returning Vets from Iraq and Afghanistan, and certainly not for the
enemies who are trying to destroy us and democracy-loving people around
the world.
Folks, you will have abdicated your duties as citizens of this
still-great land by not holding our politicians accountable at the
ballot box. They have become so emboldened by your inattention that they
don’t even don sheep’s clothing but instead come brazenly undisguised as
the wolves they are! They flaunt their “wolverine” behavior, and instead
of fighting back, you voluntarily hold out you body/wallet for another
bite to be taken. Sadism on their part and masochism on yours – both are
alive and well in the political arena.
When even journalists of
the former Soviet Union, are warning us about embracing socialism, you
know that the situation is dire. Is the installation of those Czars by
the new president, part of this metamorphosis? At last count, there were
over 30 czars! I don’t think even the old Soviet Union added a czar a
minute, as seems to be going on here.
The Terrorist-in-chief,
Osama Bin Laden, even after the conciliatory actions of promising to
close Guantanamo Bay, still dismissed the new US president, stating that
“Obama and his administration have sown new seeds that will increase
hatred and vengeance towards America,” that President Obama is
“following in the footsteps of his predecessor,” and that “the American
people should prepare to continue to reap what the leaders of the White
House are sowing.”
Tin horn dictators are
demanding apologies and laughing at the US, making jokes about how they
are going to be viewed as to the right of the US president. Are we on a
path towards wholesale adoption of the practices of these dictators,
where all industries are nationalized, and “free and clear” elections
become as free and as clear as the tinted glass windows of a vehicle?
The Supreme ruler of Iran
got in his digs, declaring: "Nothing will change with speeches and
slogans.” I guess “tea and croissants” diplomacy is just not impressive
to those supreme dictators. Are we to become Iran, and have our own Neda
slaughtered on the streets of one of our cities before we wake up? Is it
going to take another holocaust where citizens are carted off to ovens
and the rest of the citizenry is ‘unaware”?
During the Memorial Holiday weekend, I watched the Military Channel. As
I watched a show about Adolph Hitler, the thought occurred to me that we
humans must always be on guard against the propensity to be seduced by
“articulate, charismatic” speakers. Maybe it is because, along with the
Jews, folks of my color did not fit into his “master race” plans, or
maybe I have a built-in “despot detector.” Even with the English
subtitles, I failed to be seduced by Adolph as he stood there screaming
at the height of his power, with the adoring crowd chanting “Heil
Hitler.” I still saw him as a “vertically challenged” nut with a funny
moustache!
I hope that the peoples of the remaining democracies of the world have
the will to fight off any current Hitler types, whether germinating in
their midst or percolating outside of their borders. I also hope that
all wannabe despots remember what happened to Hitler. The half-pint
coward shot himself as his nation was collapsing around him.
I read an article by Jim Kouri,
Serial killers and politicians share traits, and first thought that
the conclusion was quite a stretch. But then I re-examined the traits of
each and quite frankly found chilling similarities.
“Interpersonal traits include
glibness, superficial charm, a grandiose sense of self-worth,
pathological lying, and the manipulation of others. The affective traits
include a lack of remorse and/or guilt, shallow affect, a lack of
empathy, and failure to accept responsibility. The lifestyle behaviors
include stimulation-seeking behavior, impulsivity, irresponsibility,
parasitic orientation, and a lack of realistic life goals.”
Need I include a list of politicians who resemble the above remarks? No
wonder this country is fast losing its status as “land of the free and
home of the brave.” We need less “pathological lying,” less
“manipulation of others,” less “failure to accept responsibility,’ less
“parasitic orientation,” and more fiscal responsibility. In short, stop
the lying, cheating and stealing!
We
mock situations by stating that “the inmates are running the asylum.” We
may have the reverse problem. Maybe it is time for the inmates – meaning
We the People – to run the asylum!
