No Joe Left Behind
October 20, 2008
Joe the Plumber was simply minding
his own business when Barack Hussein Obama walked up to him and started
talking to him. There are two things that are remarkable about his
conversation with Barack; first of all, Obama didn’t need a translator
when speaking with someone from Middle America. Secondly, Joe asked the
Messianic Presidential candidate why he was so intent on raising taxes
and punishing those who are successful. The words that fell from
Barack’s mouth were the sort of answer that would have won him a spot on
the couch with Beavis and Butthead.
He told Joe that "It's not that I want to
punish your success; I just want to make sure that everybody who is
behind you that they've got a chance to success, too. I think when you
spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody." If you were really
quiet you could hear a collective "D’oh” from the leftists in the media.
Obama’s "share the wealth” message is simply an updated version of the
communist slogan "From each according to his ability, to each according
to his need”. Even somebody with the political instincts of David Duke,
or Bullwinkle the Moose knows a candidate shouldn’t expose their
communist leanings in the late stages of a close election. This is
because most Americans don’t hold with the idea that their money should
be taken away and given to somebody who didn’t earn it. The average
American interprets Marxism as "From those who work the hardest to those
who hardly work.”
So Barack had been exposed as a base communist; even worse, it was from
his own mouth that this revelation came. So what is the reaction of the
media? Attack the guy the dared to ask the Messiah a tough question when
there was no speechwriter or teleprompter to pull his ham hocks out of
the fire.
Within 24 hours we knew about Joe’s income, the status of his plumbing
license, and various tax issues that the gentleman has. When you listen
to the talking heads on MSNBC, CNN, CBS, ABC, etc. the idea seems to be
that if they can make Joe look silly, somehow his question becomes less
valid. This is an odd position for a media that collectively praised the
YouTube debates and thought that questions asked by a talking snowman
were perfectly okay.
The inconvenient fact for Barack and his operatives in the media is that
the question is perfectly valid whether it came from Joe, Hitler, Mr.
Ed, or Stewie from the show Family Guy. Of course in the case of Stewie
the moment Barack outed himself as a Karl Marx acolyte, the Griffin
family toddler would have shouted "Victory is mine!”, and padded off.
The undeniable truth of the situation is that Joe asked Obama a question
and Barack gave him an honest answer that exposed his personal communist
philosophy.
As punishment for making the Obama mask slip and give us all a peek at
who this guy really is, Joe the Plumber has sustained a media lynching
by a press corp intent on protecting a deeply un-American candidate.
While within hours they could dig up Joe’s tax records, the mainstream
media has been reluctant to investigate Barack’s ties to William Ayers,
Churches that ascribe to Black Liberation Theology, or even ask why Mr.
Obama refuses to produce a legitimate copy of his birth certificate. For
those who are unaware, there is currently a lawsuit making its way
through the courts that contends Barack is not eligible to run for
President based on his questionable citizenship status. These are
legitimate questions that Katie Couric, Chris Mathews, and the rest of
the usual suspects refuse to investigate.
In this election we have heard the term "Main Street” uttered with
amazing frequency. Barack has tried to position himself as the candidate
that will fight for the folks who live on Main Street. Of course when a
question from somebody on Main Street trips up "The One”, this post
racial/post partisan candidate puts on the Bruno Magli’s of tolerance
and treats the Middle Class citizen like O.J. Simpson treated an uppity
ex-wife who dared to tell him no.
The lynching of Joe the Plumber is not the only example of Barack’s war
on Main Street. When the NRA wanted to run ads during this election
cycle,
Barack’s lawyers threatened stations with their broadcast licenses if
they ran the spots. Most of the NRA membership comes from Main
Street, not the tea houses and spas of Manhattan. He has also tried to
sic the justice department on folks who run the
"American Issues Project” for their ads tying him to Bill Ayers. Of
course we have all seen how Sarah Palin, unarguably from Main Street
USA, has been treated by the mainstream media and other surrogates for
candidate Obama.
This is a glimpse into how Obama will handle dissent if he gets into
office. With his presidency and a congressional majority engaged in an
unholy alliance with the media, nobody would be surprised to see a Ruby
Ridge/Waco approach to those who publicly voice their problems with his
administration.
All of us who actually live on the proverbial "Main Street” should be
concerned with the treatment of Joe the Plumber, because to a certain
extent we are Joe the Plumber. Not only did Obama admit he was going to
take Joe’s money away and give it to people who didn’t work for it, but
Joe has been savaged in the media for asking a legit question and
getting an unusually honest answer from the slippery Democrat. Last time
I checked, Joe wasn’t a political opponent or even running for any
office; he was just a guy who had the misfortune of being outside when
Obama decided he wanted to engage in conversation with someone from Main
Street.
Will it be different
for anyone else in the country who voices an opposing viewpoint if
candidate Obama becomes President Obama? Objective evidence says no. The
best way to stop an impending abuse of power is to leave no Joe behind,
and simply not vote the "post partisan” candidate into office.
