Disclaimer
The New Media Journal is an independent
division of
BasicsProject.org, a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) research and
educational initiative whose mission is to re-introduce the American public
to the basic elements of our constitutional heritage while providing
non-partisan, fact-based information on relevant socio-political issues
important to our country, specifically, but not limited to, the threats of
aggressive Islamofascist jihad and the Progressive Movement's American fifth column.
Items presented in The New Media Journal are intended to inspire thought
and should be considered part of an educational and informational process. We
are making such material available in our efforts to advance a more in-depth
understanding of critical issues facing the world. We believe this constitutes a
'fair use' of any such copyrighted material as provided for in section 107 of
the US Copyright Law. In accordance with
Title
17 USC Section 107, the material on this site is distributed without profit
to those who have expressed a prior interest in receiving the included
information for research and educational purposes.
Opinions and editorials expressed and presented in The New
Media Journal remain the intellectual property of the contributing
writers and may or may not reflect the opinions of The New Media Journal or
BasicsProject.org staff, board or ownership.
Opinions and editorials expressed and presented in The New
Media Journal are derived
from a variety of national and international sources including but not
limited to the Internet, radio, television, newspapers, magazines and other
media outlets offered to the public through a variety of sources.
From time to time you will encounter ellipses in the news
articles, these instances reflect an omitted passage. The New Media Journal
omits passages from news stories for three primary reasons: a) to compress
the report down to the general message (this encourages readers to go to the
source report for a more complete accounting), b) to eliminate politicized,
opinionated or non-fact-based conjecture from an otherwise factual report,
and c) to eliminate repetition. The right to use portions and/or complete
offerings from First Amendment protected news sources is established by the
Righthaven
decision adjudicated by U.S. District Judge Philip.
Information cited in The New Media Journal is representative of educated opinion as
expressed by selected contributors. While the opinion expressed may be
offered as being proven in fact, on occasion it will serve as educated
hypothesis and should be respected as such.
Contributing writers to The New Media Journal are not compensated.
The New Media Journal reserves the right to absolve itself of responsibility and
liability stemming from the content of any submitted and/or published

Submission Information
On February 1st, 2009, The New Media
Journal was absorbed by the non-profit organization
BasicsProject.org.
It continues to exist as a stand-alone publication but will be mandated
by BasicsProject.org's mission statement and limitations.
BasicsProject.org is a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) research and
educational initiative whose mission is to re-introduce the American public
to the basic elements of our constitutional heritage while providing
non-partisan, fact-based information on relevant socio-political issues
important to our country, specifically, but not limited to, the threats of
aggressive Islamofascism and the American Fifth Column. The organization
works to educate the American people using primary source materials and
culling qualified opinions from governmental agencies, congressional
testimonies, internationally recognized experts, credible think tanks and
editorial boards. BasicsProject.org's goal is the liberation of the American
people from what James Madison called "factions" and special interests in
government. Through educational advocacy for our citizenry and providing
access to reliable information via our website, special initiatives and
events, and now the informational reach of The New Media Journal (ranked
within the top 1% of all websites in the United States by Alexa),
BasicsProject.org fosters the re-emergence of civic responsibility and
active, responsible participation of citizens in their government.
Because of our 501(c)(3) and tax-exempt status, we are forbidden from
endorsing or stating direct opposition to any political candidate.
Therefore, we have ceased publishing any articles that do
either. While it remains acceptable to address and examine policy, and the
consequences thereof, promoted by any political figure, faction or
organization -- political, elected or otherwise, the direct
endorsement or active endorsement of defeat of an individual will be
prohibited, thusly, any submissions considered to transgress this limitation
will be rejected.
Contributors to The New Media Journal are selected by invitation only and
expressly satisfy the goals of being studied, intelligent, educational,
researched, vetted, informative and of expert nature with regard to the
subject matter without being overly partisan or caustic.
In addition, The New Media Journal features
additional articles from think tanks and organizations that lean toward
research, analysis and education on specific issues.
We accept no submission items that include gratuitous name-calling or
otherwise baseless and inflammatory rhetoric, making no exceptions to
this requirement.
We live in some very dangerous and tumultuous times. The more educated and
informed our populace; the more the citizenry understands the facts; the
more innuendo and speculation can be cancelled out by the consumption of the
facts, the better off our nation and the world will be.
