We Have Set So Many
Free

One of the
issues that’s come out of the 2008 presidential campaign is that of
extreme leftist ideology espoused by such liberal icons as Jeremiah
Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers et al. All of these entities are
close to Democrat candidate Barack Hussein Obama. He has yet to denounce
their anti-American, racist and bigoted rants, with the recent exception
of Reverend Wright. In that case, he only denounced Wright because of a
perceived personal affront. Obama will not denounce William Ayers or
Louis Farrakhan unless it becomes a political necessity to do so.
Sadly, Mr. Obama
adheres to many of the themes of anti-Americanism and wears his radical
anti-Americanism on his sleeve. Make no mistake about it; both Mr. and
Mrs. Obama are radical liberal-socialists bent on destroying our nation,
as we know it. They share the same disdain for Americanism, and as Mrs.
Obama has declared, “we must change our history and our traditions.”
After twenty years of anti-White and anti-American rhetoric, much of it
has sunk into the Obama’s hearts and souls.
You are all familiar with the main theme, that being that all things
American are bad, all things anti-American are good. Reverend Wright,
Mr. Obama’s “Christian” pastor for over twenty years calls repeatedly
upon the Almighty God to DAMN America, not bless it.
Most of the black
liberation ideologues are simply ignoring a significant fact of American
history and our impact on the world as a whole. No nation has ever made
quite the same contributions to the world at large, as has the United
States of America. The Wrights, Farrakhans and other so-called “black
leaders” of this nation furthermore fail to realize another significant
fact of history and it’s this: White people died to free Blacks.
Even vaunted black leaders such as the “Reverends” Jackson and Sharpton,
fail to acknowledge this rarely admitted fact. White Americans have
repeatedly fought in far-off wars with the intent of freeing peoples of
color. They have done so time after time after time.
To the Jeremiah Wrights
of this world and I dare say the Barack Hussein Obamas, the American
soldier does not go to war for General Motors, IBM and Halliburton. We
didn’t go to Cuba in 1898 so that Wall Street could profit. We didn’t we
fight in Cuba so that the United States could dominate and persecute a
whole new group of victims, the Cuban people. But then, most of our
people have no idea of what happened in Cuba; really, because schools no
longer teach history and if they do, it’s a tainted, liberalized version
that perverts and twists the events that actually happened. The liberal
version of American history only celebrates the dark side of events,
never the good, the noble or the decent. Our liberals celebrate Fidel
Castro and Ernesto “Ché” Guevara as heroes. To me, this is an outrage.
Can you imagine Adolf Eichmann T-shirts being popular in our country?
There is equivalence there, conveniently forgotten by the Left. Both
Eichmann and Guevara were monsters. Both were mass murderers. Yet, Ché
looked “cool” in a beret, so he’s popular with the Liberal Kool-Aid
crowd, adorning their T-shirts, handbags and flags.
My father-in-law was a
Cuban-American who fought in World War I. He became a naturalized
citizen in 1915 and volunteered to serve in the US Army at age 35. He
well remembered the American effort to free Cuba from Spain and grew to
love his adopted country as few ever do. When the Japanese attacked
Pearl Harbor in December 1941, he once again volunteered to serve at age
60! He must not have felt the discrimination, the subjugation and racism
directed toward people of color, or those who look “different” according
to Mr. Obama and claimed by Reverend Wright. Something tells me that
that assumption is wrong.
The facts are out there
for anyone to know and understand. White America has outgrown racism and
doesn’t want any part of it. I live in the South and very seldom hear
any disparaging comments or outright racist comments from any white
person I know or associate with. Unfortunately, Black racism is the new
and “accepted” phenomenon we are seeing today in our country. I see
Black racism and bigotry regularly!
There is hatred
in the Black community directed at Whites in general. Pay attention to
how you are treated by growing numbers of Blacks in the service
industry. It seems evident that in most situations, where Black people
are in a work situation such as a restaurant, a supermarket or a
department store, the Black employee treats White customers with
contempt, condescension and an extreme negative or sarcastic attitude!
There is rarely any courtesy afforded a White customer. Most Blacks
absolutely refuse to address a White customer as sir or ma’am. There are
exceptions of course and I don’t intend to condemn all Black Americans.
The United States of America is the greatest nation that has ever
existed in the entire history of the world. We have expended hundreds of
thousands of American lives over the span of centuries in fighting wars
of liberation, not domination. Not once, in my 29 years of military
service, did I ever hear of any plan for any campaign of war, that
included domination of “colored peoples,” exploitation of raw materials,
to include crude oil, or so that the interests of Wall Street, General
Motors and Halliburton would be advanced.
Over the years I
attended many schools and training events such as the Command and
General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. We studied numerous
contingency plans and none ever mentioned dominating and subjugating
“colored peoples” or dominating any peoples period. This is not
what the American soldier fights for! Again, this is contrary to what
Jeremiah Wright will tell you each and every Sunday morning.
The American soldier
has fought on every continent, on every ocean and sea around the world.
Our nation has expended TRILLIONS of dollars over the decades to fight
tyranny and to free people. Did we gain anything beneficial, beyond the
freedom we struggled for and granted so many? I don’t think that there
is any question that we did. However, even in peace, our nation has
expended trillions on foreign aid, foreign construction and
reconstruction.
Remember Hurricane
Andrew in 1992? In the aftermath, thousands of homes had to be rebuilt
in the Miami, Florida area. Floridians couldn’t buy building materials,
as they were so very scarce. In some places in South Florida, it was
nearly impossible to buy so much as a single sheet of plywood, or a
single two by four board!
Yet lumber and other
building materials were being exported to South America and the
Caribbean (to include Haiti) by the shipload! Tons and tons of badly
needed building materials were being exported as a part of our USAID
program, overseen by the US State Department. While our own American
people were going without, the needs of our neighbors, that’s correct,
people of color, took priority!
To this day, we
continue to export food to hungry nations around the world. We give it
away! Millions of tons of wheat, flour, corn meal, beans and other
commodities are given to poor nations, mostly inhabited by people of
color. While food prices are rising for us here in the USA, the free
food giveaways continue. We are already giving to the point where it
hurts. Yet the food giveaways won’t stop anytime soon. There may well be
real hunger in the United State and soon. However, not even that will
stop our food giveaways, to people and nations of color! Our Liberals in
congress would gladly allow our people to be hungry until such time as
it costs them votes. Only then, would free food exports be curtailed,
but most likely not stopped entirely.
The result of the
American experiment is obvious to all those who care to acknowledge
reality. Our nation can and should proudly proclaim, that we are the
greatest nation in the world and that WE, the American nation are
the only people in the world who can honestly say that we have set so
many free.
Today, the growing
cancer called Liberal-Socialism seeks to tear down America. It
seeks to denounce all of the good that we as a nation have accomplished.
It seeks to vilify our military and our national desire for peace and
freedom for all the world’s people. We celebrate those who would impose
a new form of fascism on our nation. We elevate many to “rock star”
status, men and women who want to destroy us as a nation. Make no
mistake about it, Liberal-Socialists intend to dominate this nation and
impose a tyranny upon us in their efforts to achieve their sick and
perverted goal; to tear America down to the level of a Third World
basketcase. Afterall, “it’s only fair,” says Mr. Obama.
The 2008 election cycle will provide our citizens with some very clear
choices. Do we want a secure nation, free from Islamo-fascism? Do we
want higher taxes? Do we want secure borders? Do we want to destroy our
healthcare system and replace it with socialized and rationed medical
care? Do we want to destroy our economy with new regulations and
confiscatory corporate taxes? Do we want to continue dependence on
foreign energy? Do we want $10.00+ per gallon gasoline? Do we want a
weakened and demoralized armed forces? Or do we want something else?
Neither Mr. Obama nor Mrs. Clinton ever speak of the greatness of our
nation. I doubt if Senator Biden, Mr. Obama’s VP pick will ever mention
our national greatness. They never speak of our free economic system and
the personal freedoms we enjoy in pursuing our lives, denied to
so many around the world. Instead, both hammer away at how angry our
people are and that only government and government giveaway
programs, funded by the redistribution of wealth, can save us all.
I recently lived in Germany for six years. An elderly German friend once
told me, “If you think that your healthcare is expensive now, wait until
it’s free.” He went on to tell me how medical procedures are rationed
and some committee decides whether you are worth receiving a given
treatment or not. In my old friend’s case, the medical “committee” told
him that he was too old for a prostate operation. They explained that
such a procedure was for younger men only! They sent him home to die.
And die, he did.
“Free” healthcare, “Hillarycare,” or “Obamacare,” whatever you want to
call it will not be free and it will be a disaster just as it is
in Europe. The costs will soar to astronomical levels and will take our
nation’s economy down with it. It will definitely diminish our ability
as a nation, to set more people free.
Already in Oregon, cancer treatment is being denied as too costly.
What’s the alternative? The State of Oregon will gladly pay for assisted
suicide! Is that what we want for all of America? Government denied
treatment, but government paid for and assisted suicide? Vote for Obama
and you will probably get your wish.
Senator John McCain leaves much to be desired. He’s irked many members
of the conservative base of his party. Yet he remains to only choice of
the two seriously flawed candidates for occupancy of the White House.
Time will tell and the American electorate will decide what may well be
the most crucial election in the history of our great nation. If
we choose wisely, our nation will continue to free oppressed peoples and
continue to save millions of lives. If we choose foolishly, our days of
freeing so many people will grind to a halt. Mr. Obama is seen by many
to be “The Obamessiah.” Will Americans continue to faint and wet their
pants over his “exciting” presence, as they have in many locales?
My guess is that the shine will disappear soon from the brass. However,
we must never overlook the “air-head” faction in American politics.
Airheads voted for Bill Clinton twice, because they thought, “he was
cute.” It’s not only the Black vote, the academic pinhead and college
age crowd we have to worry about. It’s the masses of airheads that the
Obama campaign is targeting.
Mr. John McCain, Obama’s presumed opponent, has alienated the base of
his party through his foolish attempts to “reach across the isle” to
Democrats. Doesn’t his realize that they still detest him? It should be
obvious, when a congressional colleague accuses him of war crimes, such
as purposely bombing North Vietnamese hospitals and schools over 40
years ago! No, Teddy Kennedy, John F. Kerry, (did you know he served in
Vietnam?) Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden will never forgive McCain
for being what he is. For one thing, John McCain is a real American.
None of the Liberal-Socialist “icons” can ever measure up to the
standard he’s proven-up to.
This election may be a watershed event in American history. It may be
the last opportunity our people have, to make a clear choice for freedom
or Liberal-Socialism. Once we finalize the Liberal-Socialist agenda,
there will be no going back. Will we finally surrender our freedoms for
yet more “government programs?” We’ll soon know the answer to that
question.
If Americans do go
to the polls in November; if we do vote for the most leftwing
presidential candidate ever and; if we elect Obama and a majority
Democrat congress, who will come to our rescue and set us free? |
